What You’ll Learn

Throughout this course, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the fundamental techniques of wheel-thrown pottery.

You’ll start with clay preparation, learning how to properly wedge and condition clay to make it wheel-ready. From there, you’ll master centering — the key to controlling your clay and setting a strong foundation for your forms.

We’ll guide you through the basics of throwing, helping you create simple yet essential shapes like bowls, cups, and cylinders. As your skills grow, you’ll explore decorative and functional additions such as handles, carvings, and surface details that give your work personality and style.

You’ll also learn the art of trimming and finishing, refining your pieces by shaping foot rings and smoothing edges for a clean, professional look. Finally, we’ll finish off with a glazing session, where you'll add color and texture to your bisque-fired pieces — this session will take place approximately 10 days after your final class, once the pieces are ready for glazing.

To ensure personalized attention, each session is limited to a maximum of 3 participants.

Fee: ₹12,500
